Wild Poems shortlist is announced

There was nothing tame in the hundreds of entries in Cheltenham Poetry Festival’s Wild Poems competition. Judges Ben Ray and Anna Saunders have worked extremely hard to develop a shortlist of 14 excellent poems, each of their authors vying for the prestige and value of a prize.

Anna & I have had great fun, and some quite fiery debates, drawing up a shortlist [Ben Ray]

We are not, today, revealing the names of the poets who created these poems. The shortlisted poets, when notified of their success, have been asked not to reveal which of these poems they created. This is to maintain the poets’ anonymity during the final judging, which will finish very soon.
In view of the postponement of our Poetry Festival from April to the Autumn, we are not going to wait before announcing winners. So we will announce them in the next few days. Please watch this blog and social media for the final results.
